IT Manager Rafael Cordero recently found himself in the unenviable situation of having to recover critical data from 2007.
Equipped with our latest version of the DS Client software and his encrypted key Cordero was able to access his long-term data that Storage Guardian.
"I knew how professional and courteous Storage Guardian's technical people are, so I called them to see if they could help me recover the data," recalled Cordero.
The task proved challenging, as the software client – now many generations later than the one used to back up the data originally – had to be installed on a properly configured local workstation, and the encryption key had to be recovered.
However, a Storage Guardian technical resource walked Cordero through the entire process, and the critical data was recovered easily due to the nimbleness of the Storage Guardian software and its ability to very quickly access DRA’s long-term retention policies.
